Born
in Gallarate (VA) in 1945, where, under the guidance
of maestro Alioli, first approached the world of painting.
She subsequently took free nude courses at the Brera
Academy in Milan and, after moving to Rome in 1976,
resumed her activity with renewed vigour devoting
herself to it with great commitment and continuity
and going deeper into her nude painting studies. In
the meanwhile Milani had already participated in several
collective exhibitions and held some personals: Taranto,
Ravenna, Alassio, Catanzaro, Fiuggi, Roma, Ostia,
Spoleto, Milano, Fabriano, Gallarate, Varese, etc.The
artist is promoting partner of the Circolo Culturale
L.Viani of Ostia and extraordinary member of the Associazione
Cento Pittori of Via Margutta (Rome). We feel entitled
to assert, without running the risk of lapsing into
stale rhetoric, that Milani constantly tries to work
into her paintings the atmosphere and the charm of
the land she is eternally in love with: Tuscany. Her
love for this land is the expression of her inner
serenity, of an untroubled confidence and her profound
attachment to values handed on by simple and genuine
feelings. Milani gives us with her works images of
landscapes clad in a diaphanous mist that blurs their
lines and their peculiar range of warm and soft colours:
it's the backdrop of an incomparable show, "the
tuscan country", where everything is steeped
in the scenic beauty of gentle rolling hills, wonderful
cypresses and olive-trees, a real must for those who
believe in painting as an indipensable part of their
lives.
